Rosanna, Princess of Kerry - Old News - 7"

Old News is the first release from Rosanna, Princess of Kerry - South London-based artist and musician Rosanna Martin. Her music feels like stumbling across pages pulled from a diary - portraits of self and memory that have slipped off the lines of the page. There’s an intimacy and distance in her work, as if glimpsed at through a windowpane. On Not In My Car, her guitar shimmers with delay, ticking like a clock, while her voice moves through the room’s quiet shadow. Images are painted of blue and yellow outlines of day, arguments in taxis, flowers bending their heads in the rain.

There’s a feeling that the sentiment in these songs hasn’t been fully resolved by the time they conclude. They seem open ended, like there’s another page somewhere to read or be written.

After performing these tracks at the Ivy House back in 2023, a friend who loved them requested a recording. So, she recorded them.
