Richard James - All the New Highways - 1CD

All The New Highways is the fourth solo album from Richard James, co-founder of the legendary alternative rock band Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci.

It is an eclectic and beguiling collection of alternative, psychedelic-tinged folk; touches of Nick Drake mixing with his turn-of-the-millenium rock roots. It was nominated for the Welsh Music Prize in 2015.

The album meanders beautifully from psychedelic opener Industrial Wool through to the gentle Elliott Smith-esque ballad Cruel Mountain. The beautiful artwork was designed by artist Andy Fung, who also played drums and contributed backing vocals.
