AGAMA is the music project and alter ego of singer, composer, producer and multi instrumentalist Cassandra Gurling. Born and raised in Birmingham and now based in London, Cassandra is a classically trained vocalist and choir director.

Her sound is classic yet contemporary, a dense mix of styles in which her operatic and earthy voice is simultaneously rooted and floating above - soulful, jazzy, slightly psychedelic with touches of electronics and a dramatic twist. Think a mix of Rotary Connection and Four Hero with a touch of musical theatre and you'll be approaching the range and depth of these 4 amazingly fully-formed, exploratory songs.

This rare fusion of musical and cultural influences within a socio-political context mirrors Cassandra’s mixed Anglo-Jamaican upbringing, where she learned to sing within the Church and Musical Theatre schools in multi-cultural Birmingham.
